The Edge ® 3D Illumination System replaces your standard removable light source to provide real-time 3D imaging. The Edge ® 3D Illumination System has a motorized turret that permits 4 different modes of operation:

  • conventional 2D imaging

  • direct-view stereo 3D imaging

  • oblique illumination

  • motion parallax 3D imaging (dynamic oblique illumination)

The Edge ® 3D Illumination System provides both transmitted and reflected light capabilities and it will fit onto upright or inverted light microscopes. This illuminator system utilizes downstream optics such as phase contrast, creating dynamic 3D phase contrast images. The product allows 3D viewing in real-time for industrial markets such as forensics, materials science, microelectronics, inspection and quality control as well as major applications in cell biology, cytology, developmental biology, marine biology, neuroscience, plant biology, tissue engineering, and other transmitted light inspection and evaluation systems.
